Bhubaneswar: If statement of Subhashree Das alias Mili Panda is anything to go by, her husband and top mao leader Sabyasachi Panda alias Sunil, the man allegedly behind the kidnapping of two Italian tourists, is returning to mainstream.

“If the state government withdraws all pending cases against Sabyasachi and asks him to return to mainstream, he will be back,” Mili Panda told OTV. Such a statement has raised eyebrows among many as she had vehemently rejected Sabyasachi’s ‘surrender under any circumstances’ before the state government nearly two months back.

According to wife of the mao leader, violence has increased manifold in the party (in which Sabyasachi is working) with no organizational balance inside it. “How long a revolutionary party will run, if it fails to organise people? Nobody will sustain for long,” observed Mili.

Subhashree’s support for the mass protesting against the recent AWC mishap in Nayagarh district and her statement about Sabyasachi has earned debates about her inclination toward politics.

Call it a coincidence, new state DGP Prakash Mishra on the day of his joining to the top cop post said initiatives would be taken to help return the red rebels to mainstream.
