Prez’s 2-day Odisha visit from today

Bhubaneswar: President Pranab Mukherjee will make his two-day Odisha visit from Saturday.

He is scheduled to inagurate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in the evening. Excitation ran high among the students to welcome the first citizen of the country. The students have rehearsed well ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ to welcome the chief guest.

Mukherjee is also scheduled to visit Skills Development Learning Labs at Centurion University of Technology & Management at Bhubaneswar on the same day.

On November 30, he will inaugurate first Vivekananda Memorial Building at Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rampur, Kalahandi, before visiting Puri Jagannath temple.

On the same day, he will inaugurate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Rama Devi Women’s Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar before flying back to New Delhi.

As part of security rehearsal, a massive carcade comprising cars, ambulance and fire tenders started from Biju Patnaik Airport to Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya on Friday. Top brass of Commissionerate Police visited programme venue.
