Rourkela: With the arrest of two more suspected Maoists on Thursday in connection with Bandhamunda railway cabin blast, a total of eight suspected Maoists have been held by the police.

Ajaya Kumar Sahu (25) was arrested from Bandhamunda area while one Sadasiba Mahato (34) was nabbed from Jharbeda under Bishra police limit were arrested for their involvement blasting of signal cabin at Bandhamunda on small hour on Sunday, police said on Thursday.

Earlier on Monday police had arrested six suspected Maoists including an woman for their involvement in the Maoist attack on Sunday.

Hundreds of villagers from Jharbeda had yesterday gheraoed the Bisra police station and held road blockade on Bisra-Jareikela road to protest nabbing of three villagers by police suspecting them to be Maoists on Monday.

Police today forwarded Ajay and Sadasiba before local court which remanded to jail custody.
