(image) Mumbai:  A major fire broke out at an Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) installation near here early today.

The fire broke out around 2 AM at the Indian oil facility at Taloja industrial area near Mumbai, fire brigade sources said.

Fifteen fire engines have been rushed to the spot and the blaze has been partially brought under control.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, they said.

There were reports that around 40,000 litres of lubricant oil stored in the IOC godown at Taloja was destroyed in the fire, they said.

However, there was no confirmation of the same from the IOC.
