In a joint operation, Delhi Police and Jammu and Kashmir police in assistance with central agencies arrested a Hawala operator for funding terror outfits LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba) and Al-Badr.

Searches are on to trace the terrorist, who was injured in the encounter.

Police said Mir sought aid of his friend Shakir Hamid Bhat, resident of Alochibagh Samboora, to identify the target and provide him a motorcycle for executing this terror act.

Bhullar said Patialavi, a resident of Butta Singh Wala village in Patiala, was declared a proclaimed offender in a case registered under the Explosive Substances Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act at the Machhiwara police station.

Babar was captured following an operation on September 26 in Uri sector by the Indian Army. During interrogation, Babar has revealed that he had sneaked into Jammu and Kashmir on September 18 along with five other terrorists.

During the searches conducted on Tuesday, several electronic devices, incriminating Jehadi (holy war) documents and records of suspicious financial transactions were seized, the NIA spokesperson said.
