Students and teachers at Guchaguda Government High School under Raighar Block in Nabarangpur, launched a sit-in protest in front of the school on Friday (Dec 17) demanding the administration to revoke their headmaster’s transfer order. As per reports, the concerned headmaster, Bijay Maharana, was recently transferred from the school.
Hundreds of teachers under the banner of Odisha Junior Teacher’s Association launched a protest on Friday (Dec 17) at Lower PMG Square in Bhubaneswar.
The teachers alleged that they were recruited as contractual teachers in 2015. Though the advertisement notification stated that their jobs would be regularised after 6 years, it is yet to be implemented by the State government.
