A special court of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday extended former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee and his close associate Arpita Mukherjee's judicial custody by 14 more days for their alleged involvement in the multi-crore teacher recruitment scam in West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC).
Bhattacharya, the former President of West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE), had been ducking the summons from both the agencies for some time now and is currently absconding.
Trinamool Congress spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy told PTI that he will not respond to Pradhan's comments on the recruitment issue as the matter is sub-judice.
