Till now the government has disbursed 11 installments to farmers under the scheme.
During the virtual event, the Prime Minister also released an equity grant of more than Rs 14 crore to about 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), benefiting 1.24 lakh farmers.
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, an annual financial benefit of Rs 6,000 is provided to eligible beneficiary farmer families, payable in three equal four-monthly installments of Rs 2,000 each.
BJP alleged that many farmers in the State are being deprived of the advantages of the centrally-sponsored scheme as the Odisha government is not providing the list of beneficiaries to the Union government.
