The flight test is a major milestone in the way forward for Brahmos programme. The highly manoeuvrable missile cruised at supersonic speed for its maximum range and all mission objectives were met.

Official sources said, the missile which was launched from the aircraft followed the pre-planned trajectory and met all the mission objectives. The air version of BrahMos was last flight tested in July 2021.
