Amidst India’s T20I World Cup 2022 debacle, a rare video of Virat Kohli from his Under-19 tour to Pakistan has taken social media by storm.

Before multi-million dollar contracts, brand endorsements and the fan following craze, Virat Kohli was a U-19 player. He was just like another cricket enthusiast then who had dreams to play for India.

He proved his mettle as the caption of India’s U-19 team and has now become the GOAT of Indian cricket.

Now, the viral video has left fans in awe of the young and stylish Virat. In the video, we can see him shopping at a fair. He later sits with his friends and enjoys a drink. Wearing sunglasses and dressed in a black T-shirt, young Kohli looks dashing as ever.

The cricketer was as flamboyant then as he is now. He is the only cricketer after Ravindra Jadeja, from the U-19 team, to make it big on the international stage.

In 2008, team India led by Virat won the Under-19 World Cup for the second time after defeating South Africa. Kohli guided India to a 12-run victory over the Proteas after rain played a spoilsport and reduced the match to 25 overs.

In the tournament, Kohli was India’s second highest run-getter. With several records, the run-machine has also done wonders after playing for India.

He was impressive and back in form in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. He became the first player to end two IIC T20 World Cup campaigns as the leading run-scorer in the tournament. He is also the leading run scorer of all T20 World Cups.

In 27 appearances, he has scored 1141 runs at an average of 81.50. However, all his efforts to clinch the World Cup this year were dashed after India lost in the semi-final against England.
