Brahmagiri (Puri): About 20 girl hostelers of the sevashram school at village Ranapada under Brahmagiri block in Puri district have been admitted to the health centre for suffering from unknown fever.

The first incidence of fever was detected about five days ago. According to the in-charge of the Ranpur Community Health Centre, blood samples of the girls have been sent for examinations and the disease could only be diagnosed after the reports have been received. However, locals complained that the residents of the sevashram were hard put to stay in unhygenic conditions and the quality of the food was too substandard.
