Poster demanding Rs 10 Lakh from Odisha MLA put up in Sundergarh
Rourkela: Bring Rs 10 lakh from MLA Sarada Nayak or else we will torch 100 vehicles – such a threatening letter has now become the talk of the town in Rourkela.
As per reports, some unidentified miscreants pasted such hand-written letter on a boundary wall at Jhirpani area. Moreover, the miscreants also attempted to set a pick-up van on fire. The owner of the vehicle stated that in the poster, the miscreants have asked to bring Rs 10 lakh from MLA Sarada Nayak in 24 hours or else they will torch 100 vehicles.
MLA Sarada Nayak, on the other hand, stated, “I have got information regarding such threatening poster. I am not at all worried about it as police will conduct a detailed probe into the matter.”
Raisan Murmu, inspector-in-charge of Jhirpani Police Station said, “We have seized the poster. There is no direct threat to MLA but the miscreants have asked to get the money from him. We have started a probe into the matter.”
