Bhubaneswar: A day after the broad daylight loot in the city, the Commissionerate Police on Saturday claimed to have cracked the case with the help of  the CCTV footage of two suspects allegedly involved in the incident.

Two persons with dubious mannerisms were captured in the CC TV footage of Axis Bank branch here, as they posed as customers in the bank holding drafts in their hands.

The footage revealed that the duo left the bank just after one customer drawing Rs 98.000 left the bank. As some time lapsed, a loot incident took place in the Rupali square in the city, confirming the CCTV footage.

Police suspect the involvement of these two in a series of similar incidents that happened in the near past, including the loot of Rs 13 lakh near Ruchika market in Barmunda — which happened the day after the loot in the Axis bank.

Police sources said that the bike-borne duo on black Pulsar mostly target the bank customers drawing a big amount. Police have warned the customers to be a little cautious and vigilant.
