Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Rabi Narayan Nanda on Wednesday announced in the Assembly that a new grant-in-aid policy for all Block grant teachers would come into effect from April.
“A detailed announcement about the new grant-in-aid policy for all Block grant teachers would be made in the second week of March,” Nanda said.
The announcement followed days after the teachers threatened to gherao the Assembly to press their demands.
The teachers however alleged that the minister who had announced in the House in last December to provide direct and full grant to them and promised to implement the decision within two months, has failed to keep his words.
