Rath Yatra coordination committee meeting today

Puri: The first coordination committee meeting for the upcoming Rath Yatra to be chaired by Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Central range and chief administrator of Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Arabinda Padhee will be held today here at Sadbhawana hall of the district administration.

Puri collector Dhiren Patnaik, SP Anup Sahoo, other senior district officials and temple servitors would attend the meeting.

Issues pertaining to health and sanitation facilities during the festival would be thoroughly discussed in meeting ahead of the biggest annual spiritual-religious extravaganza, sources said.

The meeting would also feature the completion of the maintenance work of roads, drains, and sewerage facilities in the city among other basic facilities.

This year, the Rath Yatra festival will begin on June 29.
