Rahul Gandhi to visit State on March 31

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to woo voters in tribal-dominated Southern Odisha, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will visit Nabarangpur and Koraput districts on March 31 and address rallies.

The party’s candidate for Nabarangpur LS seat Pradeep Majhi informed the OTV on Monday about Gandhi’s planned visit to the state.

Majhi said the party’s Campaign Committee head is scheduled to attend a public meeting in Umerkote of Nabarangpur district whereas the place for a rally in Koraput district is yet to be decided.

“The OPCC president will take a decision regarding the finalization of place for Gandhi’s rally in Koraput district,” he added.

On a query regarding when Congress is expected to release its candidates list for the remaining 25 Assembly seats in the state Majhi replied the party would make an announcement on this soon.

Meanwhile, Congress named Dharanidhar Nayak as its candidate for Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat.
