Baripada: A poacher was arrested and ivory and arms seized by forest officials in Odisha's Similipal National Park on Thursday.

Three poachers managed to escape, a forest official said.

During a raid at Keleikacha forest under Bishoi forest range today, three poachers fired at the officials before fleeing from the scene.

Three guns, more than 100 live cartridges, gun powder, two pieces of ivory, two tiger nails, skin and meat of barking deer was recovered, Bishoi range officer Ghanashyam Mahanta said.
