SOG forces, Maoists exchange fire; 7 rebel camps destroyed

Kalahandi: The anti-insurgency Special Operation Group forces today had an exchange of fire with Maoists on the Kalahandi-Kandhamal border. Kalahandi: The anti-insurgency Special Operation Group forces today had an exchange of fire with Maoists on the Kalahandi-Kandhamal border. The fire exchange occurred near Lobengarh of Pangabaju reserve forest under Madanpur Rampur police limits of Kalahandi district.

Acting on a tipoff, the SOG forces attacked the rebels during a conference of Odisha State committee of Maoists. The Maoists were stationed there in 7 camps which were all destroyed by the forces.

Moreover, Police have also seized huge amount of weapons.

According to latest reports, there have been no casualties.
