Bhubaneswar: Lambasting the ruling BJD government on its much vaunted ‘Odisha at 100’ vision document as announced by chief minister Naveen Patnaik during the party’s foundation day celebration on Saturday, the Opposition has demanded a white paper on the ruling party’s achievements during its 15-year tenure.

“First of all, let him (the chief minister) come up with a white paper on what his government has done during his 15-year rule and highlight the achievement of his government on major issues like irrigation, employment, security, women safety and financial development of common man. People of Odisha have the right to know about his performance,” said senior BJP leader and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Echoing similar views, Congress leader and former MP, Pradeep Majhi said, “Irrigation, Health and Education sectors are in a shambles in the State. The vision document is only slogan and would be a flop show.”

Reacting to the charges, BJD spokesperson Pratap Deb said, “The vision document will provide necessary things to common man to live moderately as well as a vibrant economy for the State. We are on a mission mode to achieve the goal.”

It is worthwhile here to mention that the Chief Minister, during his address at the BJD’ foundation day function here had said the state government will prepare a vision document for 2036 soon for the all-round development of the state.
