Man stones wife to death over domestic quarrel

Bhubaneswar: In a ghastly incident, a woman was allegedly stoned to death by her husband at Malianta under Laxmisagar police limits here on late Saturday night.

Accused husband, identified as Harjit Singh, was arrested and is being interrogated, police said, adding involvement of more persons in the crime is being investigated.

As the horrible incident occurred on late night, the neighbours were not aware about it. A quarrel was ensued between the husband and wife over some domestic issues on the same night following which Harjit became angry and attacked her with pestle stone, police added.

The woman was taken to Capital Hospital where she was declared brought dead.
