Cuttack: Land grabbing charges against another godman

Cuttack: With the series of controversies surrounding self styled godman Sarathi coming to fore and creating outrage in the state, another self styled godman, Anand Aatma has been slapped with land grabbing allegations.

According to sources, the godman’s ashram in Rameswar village of Cuttack’s Salepur block is built through unfair means by illegally grabbing the land. A written complaint has been registered against the godman by the joint secretary of the Communist party of India (CPI), Uday Kashari Verma, at Salepur police station.

On the other hand allegations of selling the ashram’s property and fooling the devotees by addressing himself as God were also made against the godman by the residents of Sankhamuha Chahapada village.

Meanwhile, the godman rubbishing all these allegations, termed this as an intentional conspiracy brewing against him with false accusations.

Moreover reacting to the efforts made to tarnish his image, the godman threatened that he and his ilks across the country would soon voice their protest and take to streets.
