Bhubaneswar: Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda today sought the intervention of High Commissioner of India to Malaysia TS Tirumurti for safe return of a youth of his constituency from Malaysia.

In a letter to Tirumurti the parliamentarian said, Ajay Kumar Behera (42) of Kendrapara has been arrested by the local police in Malaysia after he changed his job.

Panda further said Behera is illiterate and belongs to a very poor economic background. A case regarding his detention has also been filed by Behera’s wife with Aul police in Kendrapara.

He requested Tirumurti to take steps to locate and facilitate the youth’s safe return to India.
