Koraput: Coinciding with anti-terrorism day, seven Maoist militias from Narayanpatna block of Koraput district in south Odisha surrendered before police on Wednesday.

The surrender took place in the presence of Inspector General of Police (IGP) south-western range Yashwant Jethwa.

Police said, these extremists who had joined the banned Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh (CMAS) in 2009 were working for Narayanpatna Mao division.

All the members are believed to have been involved in many anti-social activities in the region.
