Puri: The five-day long annual Konark Dance & Music festival came to an end on Wednesday with captivating classical dance and music recitals.

The 26th edition of the annual festival at Nrutya Mandap in Konark drew huge crowd from across the world.

The festival which commenced on 19th was graced by many renowned artistes.

On the closing day, internationally acclaimed flutist Ronu Mazumdar showcased an enthralling performance.

“I performed ‘Pahari’ and ‘Bageshri’ which are the symbol of Sringar raas that denotes hope and dreams of life,” flutist Ronu Mazumdar said.

Besides, Odissi dance performance by artistes of ‘Nupur’ also left the audience spell-bound. The open-air stage performances by the artistes were applauded by the visitors.

The visitors from abroad were especially amused to be a part of the rich cultural treat.

The Konark Natya Mandap which was founded by late Odissi Guru Gangadhar Pradhan has been successfully organizing the event and promises to live up to the expectations in future too.

“We have organized the festival and we hope to fulfil all the dreams of Guru Gangadhar in coming days,” Konark Natya Mandap Secretary Sibasis Pradhan said.
