Bhubaneswar: In its bid to unearth the affairs of Seashore with the Health and Family Welfare department, CBI today questioned two if its section officers about the ponzi company managing a few primary health centres (PHCs) in the State.

The duo appeared at the office of the Central probe agency this morning with all the documents related to the Seashore's agreement for management of seven such health centres. They were quizzed for around an hour, sources said.

National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) had entrusted the chit fund firm with the task of providing health services to needy people under the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, the sources added.

After the agreement was signed, the company took control of seven PHCs located mostly in the backward areas of the State. These include Ekadala and Debabhumi in Cuttack district, Jagiapada in Athagarh block, Dangamala and RKT in Kendrapara district and Bagudi and Jamujhadi in Balasore district.
