Bhubaneswar/Bengaluru:  A day after OTV telecast the suffering of some Odia labourers after being deprived of their wages since last eight months in Bengaluru, the Karnataka government has assured help.

Chief Engineer of Karnataka Housing Board informed that the company has been directed to look into the matter urgently and address grievances of the labourers at the earliest.

Earlier, Odia labourers working for Prathyusha Infra, a Chennai based construction firm in Chandapur area near Bengaluru alleged that they have not been paid their wages since last seven months.

They also complained that the local office of the company at Chandapur had remained shut since last two months.

The coordinator and technical director of the project have also remained unreachable, the labourers alleged.

Further, when they tried to apprise the local police about the matter, their electricity and water connections were cut out.
