BSF jawans recover huge cache of arms, ammunition from Maoist camp

Koraput: In a major breakthrough, personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday unearthed a huge dump of Maoist arms and ammunition along with other explosive materials from Chiliba forests in the Maoist prone area of Lamtaput of Koraput district.

Acting on a tip-off, the 13th Battalion BSF jawans in the Machkund-Anakadeli area launched a joint combing operation last night and recovered arms and other materials kept hidden in the forest by the red rebels.

As per sources, the items seized from the Maoist dump include two Single Barrel Muzzle Loaded (SBML) guns, nine detonators, 80mt flexible wire, 3 kg Urea, a tiffin bomb weighing 3kg, 12 volt battery, petrol and several other explosive materials.
