Cuttack: The ongoing marital discord between actor-turned-MP Anubhav Mohanty and his celebrity wife Varsha Priyadarshini has hit the headlines again after the latter filed a fresh complaint with the police alleging that attempts are being made to defame her.
Late last night, the actress lodged a complaint at Purighat Police Station in Cuttack in connection with a video purportedly showing the 'ugly spat' between her and the parliamentarian, which has gone viral on various social media platforms.
The video has been intentionally made viral to defame me and portray my image in a negative manner, Varsha reportedly stated in her complaint.

This is not for the first time that the actress has knocked the doors of the police and Women Commission seeking justice. Reportedly, Varsha Priyadarshini had moved Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) over her ongoing marital discord on December 15.

Prior to that on December 9, she had lodged a police complaint about some offensive statements made against her on the social media platform. She had also produced the screenshots containing vulgar remarks on the social media before the Purighat Police in Cuttack.
In another complaint at Purighat Police station, Varsha had accused her in-laws of hatching a conspiracy to throw her out of the MP’s house. This apart, she further mentioned in the complaint that she had recently received an anonymous letter which threatened her to vacate the house immediately.
It is to be noted that the BJD MP on Friday appeared before the Cuttack SDJM court and submitted his response through his counsel on the domestic violence charges levelled against him by Varsha. Dodging the questions on the spat with Varsha, Mohanty said. “I have complete faith in the judiciary. I am sure truth will prevail and the person at fault will be prosecuted.”
