Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The ongoing marital discord between actor-turned MP Anubhav Mohanty and his celebrity wife Varsha Priyadarshini has taken a new twist on Sunday after Delhi-based journalist Jagrati Shukla, who described herself as one of the good friends of the MP, has cautioned the 'fans of Varsha' for trolling her on social media platform by using 'sick, demeaning, derogatory and unacceptable abuses' against her.

She has requested Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and National Commission for Women (NCW) to take exemplary action against those who are indulging in such activities.
Through a Facebook post, the woman journalist has also stated that she will hand over such social media handles to the police for investigation and necessary action.
Shukla further mentioned that the issue between Varsha and Anubhav is purely personal. But, “what has forced me to write this message publicly today is the sick, demeaning, derogatory and totally unacceptable abuses, trolling, media questioning that I have been subjected to over past few days dragging my name into this matter. Most people are indulging in these abuses and character assassinations on social media invariably are Varsha Priyadarshini fans", she explained in her post.
She said that such activities by some social media users has maligned her as well as her family reputation and warned them of legal action against any attempt to assassin her character.
"Whether it's an individual or media organisation or paid harassers of someone, I will not allow anyone to sully my reputation and defame me like this", she maintained.
It is worth mentioning that Varsha Priyadarshini recently lodged a complaint with police, alleging that she has been subjected to social media troll and abuses by some users.
The celebrity couple (Anubhav-Varsha) has been in news for the last several months for their matrimonial dispute. The matter turned ugly after Varsha moved Cuttack SDJM court against her husband Anubhav Mohanty and filed a domestic violence case. Her husband, a BJD MP has also filed a divorce petition in Delhi-based court.
