Ghaziabad: Two Nigerians were on Saturday arrested in Ghaziabad for allegedly cheating several people of lakhs of rupees by making them believe that they have won lotteries.

The arrests were made following investigations into a complaint received by one Rakesh Keserwani who alleged that he had been cheated by some unidentified persons who told him he had won a huge sum through Internet lottery and then asked him to transfer a certain amount to an account as taxes, police said.

On a tip-off, police nabbed the Nigerians from the railway crossing near GT Road and recovered Rs 4.20 laks, 200 US dollars, mobile phones and laptops.
