Thwart BJP false propaganda, Cong tell workers
Jaipur: Congress leaders on Wednesday called upon party workers to make people aware of the achievements of the UPA government to thwart BJP`s "false propaganda".
Addressing a party rally here, they also targeted social activist Anna Hazare, yoga guru Ramdev and said BJP`s "false propaganda against the UPA" government will not be tolerated.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, AICC General Secretary and Union ministers Mukul Wasnik, C P Joshi and Sachin Pilot, and PCC chief Chandrabhan addressed the gathering at the Ramlila ground.
Wasnik warned the Opposition BJP not to level false allegations against Congress and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
Without taking Ramdev`s name, Wasnik said, "Satyagrah is not the job of coward people. Some such persons were seen running away from Ramlila ground in New Delhi."
Gehlot dubbed the BJP as "master in spreading rumours and disinformation".
He said his government has provided relief to people by giving subsidy of Rs 25 on LPG gas cylinder and reducing 54 paise on diesel (per litre). He said the government will bear an additional burden of Rs 125 crore for giving the subsidy.
