Following Shivam Dube’s blitzkrieg against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), former India and CSK player Suresh Raina made a request to BCCI Chief selector Ajit Agarkar to pick the batting all-rounder in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in June.

Dube continued his brilliant form in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with another brilliant half century to his name in a high-scoring game at the Chepauk Stadium on April 23. He scored 66 off just 27 deliveries including three boundaries and seven sixes.

During the innings break, Raina took to social media account X (earlier known as Twitter) and said that he expects Dube to be a part of the T20 World Cup squad for India. He would then tag Agarkar in his tweet and urged him to pick the explosive batter in the Indian team squad.

“World Cup loading for Shivam dube ! @imAagarkar bhai select karo please,” tweeted Raina.

Dube has garnered 311 runs in eight matches for CSK this season so far. He is their second-highest run-getter after captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. With the selection day fast approaching, Dube is one of the main players under the radar of the selectors for the upcoming ICC event to be held in the West Indies and the USA.
