The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is currently going on in Australia and the mega event will continue till November 13. As many as sixteen teams have taken part in the tournament which is being played in a group stage and knockout format.

Big hitters influence the T20 format the most. Teams with the most number of big hitters excel in the shortest format of the game. It is no surprise that some of the greatest hitters of the game have lit up the last seven editions of the T20 World Cups held so far.

Among those big hitters, it is no surprise that West Indies batter Chris Gayle tops the chart for most sixes across T20 World Cups. The ‘Universe Boss’ (as he is popularly known) has hit a total of 63 sixes from 31 innings. The explosive batter is followed by former Indian south-paw Yuvraj Singh. The stylish left-hander has struck 33 maximums in 28 innings. Yuvi also remains as the only batter to hit six sixes in an over in the mega event. Skipper of Men in Blue Rohit Sharma holds the third position with 31 sixes in 30 innings.

David Warner of Australia is in the fourth position with 31 sixes from 30 matches. Warner is in the joint fourth position with another Australian in Shane Watson. The all-rounder has hit 31 maximums from 24 matches and 22 innings.

England batter Jos Buttler was the leading six hitter in the last edition of the T20 World Cup with 13 sixes in six innings. Mohammed Rizwan was behind Buttler with 12 sixes. KL Rahul and Rohit had struck as many as seven sixes each in the last edition of the mega event.
