In what comes as good news for Indian fans, Ravichandran Ashwin will soon rejoin Team India during the ongoing 4th day of the test match against England in Rajkot.

The BCCI is pleased to announce the return of Ravi Ashwin to the squad after a brief absence due to a family emergency, reported EspnCricinfo.

“Ashwin will be available to bowl as soon as he is needed despite having spent an entire day off the field. The umpires can waive the requirement of penalty time if they feel the player was off the field for "other wholly acceptable reasons, which shall not include illness or internal injury" according to the playing conditions. He is likely to arrive in Rajkot by the lunchtime," ESPN Cricinfo stated.

R Ashwin recently joined the 500 wicket club in Test Cricket as he was the second Indian to do so after legend Anil Kumble.

Talking about the present status of the test match, Indian team is leading England by 371 runs. Shubman Gill was run out by Stokes after a composed innings of 91.
