Team India had a jolt ahead of their all-important clash against defending champions England in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on Sunday.

The Men in Blue received a major injury scare during a practice session on Saturday. As per reports, captain Rohit Sharma was struck on the wrist while batting in the nets. The development has raised concerns about Rohit’s availability for India’s upcoming match against England match at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

As per reports, Rohit was struck on his right wrist, requiring immediate attention from the team physio. However, the extent of Rohit’s injury is still unknown at this point, leaving fans and the cricketing world in suspense.

With Rohit’s injury, India’s problem has been compounded as star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has already been injured and he is out of the match against England.

India are currently occupying the top spot in the points table with 10 points after winning all of their five matches. A victory against England would have secured the Men in Blue’s spot in the semifinals of the mega event. In-form Rohit’s injury has become a real concern for the hosts ahead of the knockout stage of the tournament.
