Known as the pinnacle of cricket, Test cricket is widely popular due to its legacy since its inception. In 2023, not many test matches were played because teams were more focused on the ICC Cricket World Cup which is held every four years.

There were quite a few series like the Australian tour of India where two teams battled it out to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The series was closely fought and was one of the highlights of 2023, where India emerged victorious by 2-1 margin.

In the WTC Final, India faced Australia in the finals where Australia emerged as champions of WTC 2023.

The Test Team is based on performances by respective players for their teams,  in what conditions, and against which oppositions they scored runs and picked wickets.
