India thrashed hosts West Indies by 200 runs in the third ODI to win the series 2-1 on Tuesday. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan was adjudged man of the match by smashing his third successive fifty in the series.

Ishan scored 77 off 64 balls with three sixes and eight fours and stitched together an opening partnership of 143 runs for the first wicket with Shubman Gill.

It was Ishan Kishan’s fourth successive fifty in the ongoing West Indies tour. He had scored the first fifty in the tour in the second innings of the second Test in Trinidad.

Ishan is only the sixth Indian batter to score three successive fifties in an ODI series. Former aggressive opener Kris Srikkanth was the first one to achieve this feat against Sri Lanka back in 1982. Former India captain MS Dhoni has achieved the same feat against Australia in 2019.
