Swag and flamboyance define Mumbai Indians’ IPL journey throughout the years. After appointing Rohit Sharma as their captain in 2013, Mumbai Indians have clinched IPL five times and are considered one of successful franchises along with Chennai Super Kings.

As the start of the 17th edition of IPL approaching soon, here are some players who can make an impact in the prestigious league this year.

Rohit Sharma 
With Hardik Pandya appointed as captain, Rohit Sharma will look to enjoy his cricket after being relieved from captaincy, Mumbai Indians will be a different team if Rohit Sharma has a good season. 

Surya Kumar Yadav
No boundaries are considered big if Suryakumar Yadav hits the ball like he always does. The current No 1 batsman has been a big revelation in the Mumbai Indians team after his arrival into the team in 2018. He has been consistently scoring runs over the past few seasons and MI will be hoping SKY to replicate that form for his team. 

Tim David 
The big hard-hitting batsman from Australia has been a big asset to the Mumbai Indians team. After the retirement of Kieron Pollard, David has managed to do what Pollard used to do for Mumbai Indians. David had a decent IPL in 2023 and will look to do exactly the same in the 2024 edition. 

Jasprit Bumrah 
Without any doubt, the best death overs bowler in T20 cricket currently, Jasprit Bumrah has tasted success in every format and has become one of all-time greats in cricket. He has delivered whenever Mumbai Indians needed him to. He missed the IPL 2023 season with a back injury and he would be looking to bounce back in the IPL 2024 in some style. 

Mumbai Indians is that sort of team that hates losing. The franchises will look to leave all things aside and would like to start the season on a fresh note under the leadership of Hardik Pandya in IPL 2024.
