The Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue have hustled their way through league matches and the knockout semifinal of the ongoing World Cup 2023, and are set to clash with Australia in the mega final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19.

The Blue Army is in red-hot form both in the batting and bowling departments and is hopeful of lifting the World Cup Trophy this year. Fans have high expectations from team India who are in the final of the World Cup for the first time after the 2011 World Cup.

They have a golden opportunity to end their 10-year-long wait to win the World Cup Trophy in front of over 1 lakh fans and cricket lovers at the world’s largest stadium. However, fans are wondering if Team India will replace India pacer Mohammed Siraj with veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin at the finale.

As spinners have got good help from the Ahmedabad surface in the last few matches, there are speculations that India would be tempted to play Ashwin under spin-friendly conditions. Moreover, Siraj had a very bad game in the semifinal against New Zealand. Hence, there are several speculations of Ashwin in India playing eleven for the World Cup 2023 final.

On the other hand, many other fans are of the opinion that Rohit Sharma and the team management are very likely to opt against it. The reason is simple. India would not want to tinker with their winning combination in the finale.
