Ishan Kishan stung by bee
After star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the crucial match against New Zealand in the ICC ODI World Cup in Dharamsala on Sunday, India’s injury worries have further compounded.
While batting in nets, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan was stung by a bee. Following the incident, Kishan quickly flung his bat and rushed out of the nets. The aggressive batter sat down with attention from the physios for a few minutes. Subsequently, he stood up and clutched his neck before quickly leaving the training facility.
Southpaw Kishan is in contention for one spot along with batter Suryakumar Yadav for the all important match against the Kiwis in the absence of injured Pandya.
Moreover, Suryakumar Yadav too faced an injury scare as he was hit on the right wrist during the practice session. The support staff walked in and attended to him for a few moments before India’s Mr 360 degree batsman decided to curtail his stint.
SKY (as Suryakumar is popularly known) exited the nets clutching his right wrist. He was immediately offered an ice pack by the physio on the affected area.
