Though Team India pacer Akash Deep is not part of the playing XI in the fifth and the final Test against England at Dharamsala, yet he is winning hearts. 

Akash was near the boundary ropes carrying a couple of water bottles and was heading towards the dressing-room. That is when fans started yelling, “Akash Bhai, I am thirsty. Please give a bottle”. In response, not realising how to react, the Bengal pacer threw a bottle towards the fan. 

The fans were elated with the kind gesture from the pacer. The video of the incident has gone viral over various social media platforms.

Notably, Akash Deep made his debut in the fourth Test against England at Ranchi and won hearts there with his aggressive bowling.

Coming back to the match, England were bowled out for 218 in their first innings with spinner Kuldeep Yadav finishing with a five wicket haul.

In reply, India were 441 for the loss of eight wickets at the time of reporting. The hosts are now in a commanding position with a lead of more than 200 runs on a difficult surface.
