RCB wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik was absolutely in beast mode against SRH after scoring a blistering 83 runs off 35 balls which included 7 sixes. However, his courageous effort went in vain as Pat Cummings led Sunrisers Hyderabad to emerge victorious in an epic run-fest contest at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

During the match, Karthik went on to hit the biggest six which was recorded 108m of the bowling of T Natarajan.

Scoring at a strike rate of 205, DK has already scored 226 runs in 7 matches for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Days after being teased on stump mic by Rohit Sharma about the T20 World Cup selection, Dinesh Karthik is putting a strong case for himself and the selectors over his selection for the World T20 which is set to be played in West Indies and USA in June.

Chasing a mammoth target of 288 runs, RCB played with aggression but unfortunately couldn’t cross the finish line. After the completion of 30 matches, RCB are at the bottom of the points table and staring at an early exit from IPL 2024.

Meanwhile, with the World T20 selection around the corner and a possible selection, it will be interesting to see how Dinesh Karthik performs as a finisher for RCB in the remaining games of IPL 2024.
