Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered a massive 63-run win against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 7 of the IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.
With a clinical performance with both the bat and the ball, CSK outplayed GT to register their second successive victory.
The CSK, riding on a 23-ball 51 by Shivam Dube, a 20-ball 46 by Rachin Ravindra and a 35-ball 46 by Ruturaj Gaikwad, built a massive target of 207 for GT.
However, it's Sameer Rizvi, who made his IPL debut in yesterday’s match, who is winning hearts online for his terrific performance. The young talent made his IPL debut with a massive six in the 1st ball by none other than Afghanistan great Rashid Khan.

Rizvi hit two sixes against Rashid Khan to start a glorious career in the IPL. Even MS Dhoni could not stop admiring the budding cricketer.
Rizvi came in the 19th over and joined the action straightaway with a six on his very first ball in the IPL.
On the final ball of the over, he tonked another maximum to bring up 15 runs from one over. His terrific innings are reminding fans of former CSK player Suresh Raina.
Both made their Ranji debut for Uttar Pradesh at age 16 and IPL debut for CSK when aged 20-21 age. Both batted at No. 6 on IPL debut innings and both smashed a leg-spinner (Chawla, Rashid) for 2 sixes in an over on their IPL debut innings.
Fans are lovingly calling Rizvi the ‘right-handed Raina’ as his sixes against spinners going down the track, look uncannily similar to Raina. Eagle-eyed fans have also highlighted that Rizvi fields similarly to Raina at covers, and pulls the hair and jumps to the bowler while celebrating a wicket similar to Raina.
