Pramod Bhagat and Manisha Ramdass
Odisha star para-shuttler Pramod Bhagat and his partner Manisha Ramdass secured bronze medal in the para-badminton mixed doubles event of the ongoing 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou on Wednesday.
The Indian pair bowed out in the semi-finals of the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 event to be satisfied with the bronze medal. Indonesia’s Leani Ratri and Hikmat Ramdani sealed their place in the final with a 2-0 victory over the Indian duo.
The first set was a closely fought affair but the Indonesian pair clinched a comfortable victory with a scoreline of 21-14 to storm into the final.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Pramod and his partner for their success.

On the other hand, the Indian pair of Nitesh Kumar and Thulasimathi Murugesan also crashed out in the semi-finals of the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 semi-finals.
As many as seven para-athletes from Odisha are representing India in the mega event.
