‘Teri aukaat kya hai’: GT bowler Mohit Sharma abused for dismissing MS Dhoni during Qualifier 1 at Chepauk

During the qualifier 1 between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at Chepauk on Tuesday, Mohit Sharma was super elated after picking up the wicket of MS Dhoni.

Mohit had made his international debut under the captaincy of Dhoni and he was on the seventh heaven after getting the wicket of his mentor.

However, the wicket of Dhoni invited online hate and Mohit was abused by several fans of the Captain Cool. Some of the fans of the veteran wicket-keeper posted  very ugly comments, filled with abuses, on his social media posts.

“Jisne tujhe banaya use hee out kardiya, saap he tu saap,” wrote a fan.

“Dhoni ko out kardiya, Teri aukaat kya hai,” commented another fan.

Notably, Mohit has scripted one of the biggest comeback stories in IPL 2023. He was out with injury for a long time and then thought about quitting playing cricket at one stage. However, positive words from former Team India speedster Ashish Nehra helped him regain confidence. He became the net bowler for GT. Then he became part of the team for his hard work. He got a chance in IPL 2023 and he has impressed one and all with his brilliant performance. The pacer has picked up 19 wickets in 12 matches so far.
