Cash seized from BJD MLA candidate’s wife in Odisha

Ahead of the third phase polling in Odisha on May 25, Rs 84,000 cash was seized from the vehicle of Sabitri Sethi, wife of BJD’s MLA candidate for Anandapur Assembly seat, Abhimanyu Sethi.

As a part of the intensified surveillance, a flying squad team was carrying out checking at Tartara Square on Anandapur-Bhadrak road on Thursday. They detained the vehicle of Sabitri Sethi, who is also the chairperson of Hatadihi block. They carried out a search and seized the cash from the vehicle. 

The source and the purpose of the money were not ascertained immediately.
