Puri Srimandir
Odisha government is considering the installation of a watchtower outside Puri Srimandir in a bid to enhance surveillance capabilities.
This initiative is thought to be directed towards monitoring drone activities around the temple precincts. Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan revealed this information on Thursday.
Simultaneously, police are investigating unauthorised photographs taken inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple that have been circulating online. Authorities have pledged to take decisive action against those responsible for this breach. Steps are being initiated to bolster the security apparatus surrounding the temple complex.
Moreover, the Law Minister also mentioned that comprehensive checks are being carried out at the temple’s four gates, with closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in operation to monitor activities.
