Odisha government on Wednesday announced three pioneering initiatives under the Subhadra Yojana, aimed at enhancing the empowerment of women.

Unveiling the plan at ‘Subhadra ru Mudra’ program during the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida highlighted the initiatives as ‘Shuna Subhadra’, ‘Kuha Subhadra’ and ‘Subhadra Setu’.

According to Deputy CM Parida, the ‘Suna Subhadra’ initiative empowers citizens to engage directly with relevant departments for any required clarifications. Complementary to this, ‘Kuha Subhadra’ facilitates open communication where the department will engage with beneficiaries to understand concerns about services.

Further enriching the scheme, ‘Subhadra Setu’ acts as a bridge to connect beneficiaries reaching the age of 21.

This programme prominently aims to enhance women’s empowerment through dedicated training intended to foster self-reliance.

“Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries will play important roles in women's development, economic independence, industrial and agricultural sectors. They will develop their skills. Our government intends to see Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries in the villages to be entrepreneurs,” said Deputy CM Parida.

These strategic steps underline the government’s commitment to promoting transparency, connectivity, and empowerment within the community.

Earlier a day before, Deputy CM Parida had requested the eligible beneficiaries, who are yet to receive their 1st instalment amount, to visit their bank branches on January 29 and 30 to resolve NPCI issues.
