Patna: Several Bollywood stars, including superstar Amitabh Bachchan, would be in Patna on Bihar Diwas celebrations on March 23, official sources said today.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar extended the invitation to Bachchan during the latter`s last visit to the city.

Film personalities with strong Bihar links such as Shatrughan Sinha, Prakash Jha, Udit Narayan, Shekhar Suman, Manoj Bajpai and Neetu Chandra have also been invited for the mega event, marking 100 years of the state.

It was on March 22, 1912 when the British carved out Bihar from Bengal presidency.

The government has made elaborate arrangements for the three-day function (March 22-24) marking the end of the year-long Bihar Diwas celebrations.
