The broad day light murder of popular Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala has triggered a massive political blame game with the Opposition BJP and the Congress targeting the newly formed Aam Aadmi Party-led government in the state.

Sidhu was shot dead by unidentified miscreants on Sunday evening, sending shock waves across the state. The attack came a day after the Aam Admi Party government led by CM Bhagwant Mann removed Sidhu’s security cover. Sidhu was travelling in his jeep along with two others at village Jawahar Ke in Mansa district when he was attacked. Canada-based gangster takes responsibility for killing Moosewala

Meanwhile, BJP National Vice-President Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda slammed the Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab over the shocking and brutal murder of the much-loved singer and rapper.

“I am deeply shocked to read the circumstances behind the murder of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala. Any murder is heinous but the fact that he was under threat and had earlier been under police protection which was recently removed by the new government run by AAP without proper vetting is very troubling,” said Panda.

The senior BJP leader further said that, “What is more is shocking is the names of list of people whose protection was removed was then published in the newspapers. That’s like painting a target on their back and inviting assasins to go after them. It is extremely shocking.”

Panda said, “The Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and APP’s head Kejriwal, who has been directly monitoring and supervising the new Punjab government, they bear responsibility for this death.”

Congress leader Amrinder Singh Raja said, “All this shows the inefficiency of the government and the police. The DGP is making one-sided press conference and only sharing information about the incident and terming it a gang-war shows he wants to shrug off his responsibility.”
